3.12 | weekend trips

i went on a short roadtrip with my dad and sister over the weekend to D.C. i`m not familiar with the area, but i know that we were near chinatown. although we didn`t stay long, i know this is a place i would love to revisit and explore.

there is so much black culture and soul food there. i love soul food. we found a place called "oohh`s & aahh`s" and it was so good; i do wish that the portion of the sides were a tad bigger for the price, but the quality and taste of the food made it worth it.

we were trying to make it to the National Museum of African American History and Culture, but the way the tickets were set up, we weren`t able to go. i didn`t realize just how popular the museum was, but i should`ve known. we`re adding that to the itinerary for next time.

i also really enjoyed seeing the row houses. i admit that i was not a fan before because i don`t like the idea of living that close to someone, but these made me change my mind. it was just something about the design that intrigued me. it makes me wish i had gone to school for architectural design. lol.

though my trip was short, here are some photos from my time there.
